Shelly Todd – New Superintendent at Pea Ridge National Military Park

Shelley Todd joined Pea Ridge National Military Park as its new superintendent in late February 2023.

Todd has over 15 years of federal service and started her NPS career as a biological science technician at the Buffalo National River in Harrison, Arkansas, in 2009. She would later go on to manage the natural resources program at Hot Springs National Park before joining Padre Island National Seashore in 2018 to lead the Science and Resource Management Division.

She also served as acting superintendent at President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site in Hope, Arkansas, in 2022.

Prior to working for the NPS, Todd served as an interpretive guide for the United States Forest Service at Blanchard Springs Caverns in Fifty-Six, Arkansas, and as a hydrologic technician for the United States Geological Survey in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

In her spare time, she enjoys backpacking, camping, and playing board games with family and friends.
