Benefiting Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County

 

When:  October 10, 2009, 8:00am until dusk. Gates open at 6:00 a.m.

Where: Pea Ridge National Military Park – Garfield, AR
                Hwy 62 East, Garfield

Cost:     $35.00 Registration Fee per rider
               (Includes $10.00 donation to Friends of Military
               Park)

This one day event is being held at one of the most beautiful historical National Parks in the country.  You may choose either a 4mile or 9 mile trail.

NOTE: 

* Participants will be limited, so register early.
* No stallions are permitted
* Minors under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or chaperone.
* Every rider must show a current negative Coggins dated within the last 12 months
* Rain Date October 24, 2009

 


Rules of Ride:

  1. Riders must be 18 yrs. or older.  All riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or chaperone.  Please do not leave minors unattended.
  2. All horses MUST have original current negative Coggins papers dated within the last 12 months.  Horses will not be allowed on premises without the original current negative Coggins papers.
  3. Riders must be experienced.  No green horses please.
  4. Riders must be able to ride without assistance.
  5. Riders are strongly encouraged to have your horse(s) shod at least on the front.
  6. Riders must provide management with a signed liability release prior to event.
  7. Liability release forms for participants under 18 yrs. old must be signed by parent or legal guardian.
  8. Riders must carry identification and emergency contact names and numbers.
  9. Riders must make their own arrangements for horse transportation, equipment, feed and water.
  10. To warn other riders, a horse that is prone to kicking MUST wear a red ribbon on the top of its tail.
  11. Motorized vehicles (ATV’s, motorbikes, mopeds, scooters, etc.) will NOT be allowed on the trails.
  12. No ponied or loose horses (including foals) on the trails. 
  13. No Stallions are permitted. 
  14. No double riding.
  15. No dogs or other pets are permitted on trails.
  16. National Park regulations dictate that NO ALCOHOL, NO FIREARMS AND NO FIREWORKS ARE PERMITTED!!!
  17. Harassment of any type will not be allowed.  Offenders will be asked to leave the grounds immediately.
  18. Please pick up all trash and leave the park grounds clean.
