Pea Ridge National Military Park Announces
Fee Free Day for President’s Day Holiday
Pea Ridge National Military Park will join other National Park Service sites in waiving entrance fees in celebration of President’s Day, February 20, 2017. “Fee free days are a perfect time to come out and explore the park, learn about nature and learn our shared history,” stated Pea Ridge Superintendent Kevin Eads.
Other NPS fee free days in 2017 include:
April 15-16 opening weekend of National Park Week
April 22-23 closing weekend of National Park Week
August 25 National Park Service Birthday
September 30 National Public Lands Day
November 11-12 Veterans Day Weekend
Pea Ridge National Military Park preserves and commemorates the March 1862 Civil War battle that helped Union forces maintain physical and political control of the state of Missouri. Administered by the National Park Service, the 4,300 acre battlefield is located 10 miles north of Rogers, just off of US highway 62.
